Development Overview
Tayfen Court in Bury St Edmunds delivers 171 one- and two-bedroom apartments across six residential blocks rising between four and five storeys. The scheme transforms a brownfield site into a modern residential community, contributing to the continued regeneration of the town.
British Offsite was appointed by Weston Homes to manufacture and supply its UNisystemLB light gauge steel system for the external wall superstructure. Currently in progress, the offsite installation is helping to overcome the challenges of a multi-block development by providing programme certainty, quality assurance, and improved site efficiency.
The use of the UNisystemLB has streamlined construction by consolidating multiple trades into a single, lean-manufactured product. This approach reduces material waste, minimises site storage pressures, and enables faster envelope completion, supporting safer working conditions and earlier progression to internal works.
