Development overview
British Offsite is collaborating with Wates Residential on the Hillbourne project in Poole, marking a significant step into the retirement living sector. The scheme will deliver high-quality, energy-efficient apartments designed to meet the housing needs of retirement residents, with the project operated by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole District Council.
The development uses British Offsite’s UNisystemLB panels, complete with internal and external insulation and brick tie channels, ensuring superior airtightness, thermal efficiency, acoustic performance, and non-combustible fire safety. The precision offsite manufacturing allows for rapid construction, including walls, floors, stairs, pre-cast lift cores, and roofing elements, enabling faster compartmentalisation of floors and earlier customer viewings.
This approach demonstrates the benefits of offsite construction for retirement living, delivering a low-maintenance, energy-efficient building while enhancing asset value for developers through accelerated programme delivery and high-quality, durable construction.
