Development overview
Caxton Square in Wood Green delivers 75 one- and two-bedroom apartments across two blocks rising to seven storeys, creating much-needed new homes in North London. With a GDV of £33m, the development was completed using British Offsite’s advanced offsite manufacturing systems to meet programme and quality expectations.
British Offsite was engaged to manufacture and supply UNisystemSFS to form the superstructure. Delivered in 2021, the system supported the construction of this high-density residential scheme while minimising disruption on a constrained urban site.
The UNisystemSFS is a light-gauge steel solution, precision-engineered for speed and accuracy, providing a complete panelised structure ready for installation. By reducing reliance on multiple trades and streamlining sequencing, the system enabled rapid progress on-site, helping secure the building envelope efficiently and with programme certainty.
This approach provided a faster, safer, and more efficient installation compared with traditional methods, supporting Weston Homes in the timely delivery of high-quality new homes at Caxton Square.
